Périgueux, a City of Art and History 20km away, is well worth a visit, with its Gallo-Roman remains and its medieval and Renaissance old town. Other attractions include the Châteaux de Puyguilhem, the Villars caves, the village of St Jean de Côle, the Truffle Museum and the truffle trails at Sorges.
