La bastide de Château pour 10

This gîte is located in the immediate vicinity of the town of Château l'évêque and close to Périgueux, classified as a 'Ville d'Art et d'Histoire' (St Front Cathedral, Tour de Vésone, Gallo-Roman circuit, Medieval-Renaissance circuit, Tour Mataguerre, museums...), and 16 km from Brantôme "La Venise du Périgord" (Abbey and village). Also not to be missed: the castles of Bourdeilles and Puyguilhem, the Villars cave, the village of St Jean de Côle (Floralies on the weekend of May 8), the Truffle Ecomuseum and truffle trails at Sorges.
In the village, a small market is held every Sunday 700 m from the house, where you'll also find a bakery/grocery store, a medical center with a pharmacy and a hairdresser. 2 bicycles available.

Detached single-storey house close to other dwellings. It comprises a main house with a living room, a fully-equipped kitchen opening onto the dining area (6 chairs), the sitting area with 2 sofas, television and wifi. Heating by a wood-burning stove and reversible air-conditioning. There are 2 bedrooms, each with 1 x 160x200 bed, and one with 1 x 140x190 bed, as well as a shower room and WC.
Outside, you'll find a second building with an upstairs dormitory with 2 160x200 beds, and an independent toilet.
Outside, you can enjoy the private swimming pool (8x4m, 1.40m deep, salt water, unheated), open from May to October and secured by a tarpaulin. You'll also enjoy a pool house with ping-pong/garden table, darts, sneaker basket, bar, gas stove, double sink, beer taps, fridge, additional crockery, shower and WC; and a pétanque court.
