Tocane-Saint-Apre, located in the Dronne Valley, is an ideal destination for exploring the Périgord Vert. With the river running through it and surrounded by rolling hills, it appeals to lovers of history, nature, and outdoor activities. The Dronne River, which runs alongside the village, offers a perfect setting for swimming, walks along the water’s edge, and water sports.
Visitors can enjoy the traditional Monday morning market, renowned for its local produce and Périgord specialties. The Château de Fayolle bears witness to the region’s rich heritage.
Nearby, numerous must-see sites are within easy reach: Brantôme, nicknamed the “Venice of the Périgord,” Bourdeilles with its Renaissance castle, Ribérac and its famous Market, as well as the charming villages of Montagrier and Saint-Aquilin.
Sports and nature enthusiasts will appreciate the many hiking and mountain biking trails that crisscross the Dronne Valley. Several marked loops allow you to discover the mills, the hillsides, and the views of the surrounding Countryside. Fishing, canoeing, cycling, and nature walks round out the range of activities.
With its heritage, gastronomy, farmers’ markets, and outdoor recreation, Tocane-Saint-Apre is an excellent starting point for exploring the treasures of the Dordogne and enjoying a varied stay with family or friends.

This country house is very comfortable since it is all on one level. From the entryway, you can access the fully equipped separate kitchen. Then enjoy the living area, which includes a living room with sofas, a smart TV, fiber-optic Wi-Fi, and a dining area. If you wish, a small mezzanine accessible from the living room is available, featuring a two-seater sofa and a TV. To access the outdoor areas, step directly from the living room onto the terrace that runs the entire length of the house. This west-facing terrace is sheltered and offers a beautiful view of the valley; it is equipped with a griddle, outdoor furniture, and a Spa (Lay-Z Spa MAURITIUS AirJet), available from April through All Saints’ Day.
A ping-pong table is available in the front yard of the house.
For sleeping arrangements, there are three bedrooms. Two bedrooms feature a 160x200 cm bed. One bedroom features a 140x190 cm bed. A separate bathroom with a walk-in shower. A separate toilet.
Baby gear is available upon request (Umbrella bed and high chair).
