An exceptional view for this 18th century outbuilding fitted out in a modern style, where tranquillity is assured... Situated in an exceptional, unspoilt 60-hectare site of meadows and woods, in the heart of the Périgord Blanc region, equidistant from Périgueux and Bergerac. It's an ideal location for accessing all the region's tourist attractions, as well as for a wide range of on-site sporting activities such as horse-riding, hiking and mountain biking on private paths.
3 km from Bourrou and 8 km from Villamblard (shops), 65 m2 semi-detached house with direct view of the swimming pool. First floor. Living room with kitchenette and sitting area with Wifi Internet connection. After a walk you have 1 bedroom: 1 double bed (140cm). Shower room with WC. Wood heating in winter and electric heating in 1/2 season. Unenclosed grounds. Garden furniture. Barbecue. Baby equipment: bed, chair, bath, changing table, bouncer, playpen.

Literie à revoir.

I will start with the positives, the lounge/dining and kitchen were clean and spacious for a one bedroom gite. If you enjoy being isolated and like horses and cows then the location is perfect for you.
I found the location too isolated, no shops nearby. I had no signal on my phone and could not find any information regarding WiFi in the welcome book - so assumed there was none (apparently there is). The owner was not available when i arrived to show me around, so i could not check the connectivity.
The pool which is the only view from the gite was still green and did not invite sitting out to read (or to swim)
The black mould in the shower was very offputting and there was mouse poop on the floor in the bedroom.
I thought €90 per night for one person was a lot, and so I economised by bringing my own towels and bedding (saving an additional €25) I also decided to clean the gite saving another €60. In addition to the additional expenses for linen there was a register for the amount of electricity used, and you have to pay for anything over the limit per day set by the owner.
Being isolated, unconnected, expensive and not to my standard of clean - I decided not to stay.- Cleanliness

We are sorry to read this feedback from you.I think there might have been a misunderstanding regarding the description due to an approximate English/French translation.However, the accommadation is conform to the description given by the Gîtes de France website : it is located in the countryside and shops are 8 km away. You have to love tranquility, nature and animals. I can understand that people that are not familiar with this environment can feel isolated.On the other hand, I don't understand why you blame me for not being there to welcome you.I remind you that we had agreed that you will arrive independently to the extent that you did not have an arrival time to communicate to me and that I had previously informed you that I was held back by professional obligations. We agreed that arriving at any time will be more convenient for you and that I would remain reachable at all times.When you arrived, you met my husband, to whom you said nothing. When you were leaving, you passed my daughter without even stopping. I never had any call from you.I have no explanation for the poor reception on your phone. As for wifi, all you had to do was plug in the box.The options are clearly specified in the gîte description sheet.Any constructive comments are always appreciated but this is the first time we have such feedback about the cleanliness.We are again sorry that you had this experience and would have been more than happy to discuss with you before you leave the gîte without saying
