It's also a region steeped in history, as evidenced by its many architectural remains.
The gîte is ideally located for visiting the many attractions of the Périgord Noir region, including castles, villages (some of which are listed as "France's most beautiful villages") and gardens.
Hiking trails on site and cycle path between Sarlat and Souillac, for the more sporty.
This rental is part of a group of 4 restored houses set around a shady park on the edge of the village, in the Dordogne Valley, 1 km from the river.
Claire's house is separated by a hedge that defines a private enclosed space, so it's not overlooked. Unenclosed communal area of 2500 m2.
200 m from St Julien de Lampon (Bakery, butcher, grocery store, pharmacy, tobacconist, hairdresser, Doctor, physiotherapist, nurse, Thursday market) and 15 km from Sarlat, 41 m2 semi-detached house with Gîtes de France ref. DP483082. First floor: living room with kitchenette and sitting area with Wifi Internet connection. Mezzanine: 1 double bed (140cm). Shower room with WC. Air-conditioning on first floor. Private enclosed grounds of approx. 50 m2. 2500 m2 enclosed grounds shared by 4 Holiday cottages (swing, table tennis). Terrace. Garden furniture. Sun loungers. Parasol. Barbecue. Private parking.
A heated swimming pool, shared with the other Holiday cottages, 4mx10m, 1.5m deep, salt water, secured by a cover, open from early May to late October.
Baby equipment available on request from the owner: 1 baby bed, 1 high chair, 1 baby bath.

Nous nous réjouissons de vous accueillir avec beaucoup d'enthousiasme dans les gîtes et la chambre d'hôtes afin que vous puissiez profiter pleinement de votre séjour dans le calme et le confort. Laura est infirmière libérale, avec à sa disposition du matériel médical pour l'aide à la mobilité (déambulateur, chaise...).

gite pour 2 personnes très agréable, bien équipé, au calme, idéalement situé pour visiter les merveilles de la Dordogne. Propriétaire très sympathique qui a su nous donner quelques adresses sortant de l'ordinaire.

Elo un cocon de douceur
Nous avons passé une semaine dans un havre de paix dans le joli gite "claire", très propre, bien équipé et au calme. Le gîte est idéalement placé pour rayonner dans la belle région du Périgord. Pratiques, les commerces (boulangerie, restaurant, boucherie et supérette) sont à 5min à pied. Laura et Laurent, les propriétaires, sont absolument adorables, disponibles et accueillants. Un vrai plaisir d'avoir échangé avec vous! Le jardin avec son coin piscine est ultra bien aménagé et ne donne plus envie de le quitter ;)

Actions speak louder than words – we’re determined to visit again next year ! Laura and Laurent are the prefect hosts ; cheerful, courteous and always determined to make your holiday as good aa it is can be. They provided delicious food on our first eventing and morning, were always available to extend any help required, whilst respecting our privacy. The gite was clean, comfortable and well-appointed, well situated in easy walking distance of the village and its amenities. We thoroughly recommend !
