The view from the gîte is superb, with magnificent sunsets to boot. Walks or jogging on the GR, which passes just below the gîte.

Sightseeing: Dordogne Valley and its many castles (Castelnaud, Beynac...), Vézère Valley (Lascaux 4 International Center of Cave Art in Montignac), Bastide Trails (Monpazier, Beaumont du Périgord...), Limeuil classified as one of "France's most beautiful villages", Cingle de Trémolat, Gouffre de Proumeyssac... Leisure and sports: canoeing down the Dordogne and Vézère rivers, accrobranche park at Vergt de Biron, 25 min away, with natural swimming pool, numerous well-marked hiking, mountain-biking and horse-riding trails through oak and chestnut forests, close to the gîte. Gastronomy: restaurants, farm inns to sample local specialities (foie gras, duck confit, porcini omelette...), farmers' markets...
