This gîte is located in Périgord Noir in the commune of Granges d'Ans, halfway between Périgueux and Brive la Gaillarde, 10 km south of Hautefort (Château and Museum of Medicine) and 20 km north of Montignac (Lascaux 4 International Center of Cave Art), less than 10 minutes from a freeway exit.
With a capacity of 8 people, the gîte is ideal for groups. Fully equipped and adapted for families, the gîte has all the comforts you need for a peaceful stay. Marielle, the owner, will welcome you with simplicity and sincerity. To the delight of young and old alike, you'll also be able to see our animals: cats, dogs, chickens, sheep and a donkey. Close to many tourist attractions, walking trails and producers of local produce.
110 m2 semi-detached house. First floor: Living room with kitchenette (Senséo coffee machine) and sitting area with Wifi Internet connection, board games and books for all ages. 1 bedroom with 1 bed 140x190. Shower room with WC. 1st floor: 1 bedroom with 4 beds 90x200. 1 bedroom with 1 bed 160x200. Bathroom with shower. Separate WC. Landing with closet and storage space. Electric heating. Enclosed grounds of 1000 m2 (low stone wall) with children's area: large sandbox with slide and picnic table. Large 52 m2 terrace with gas grill, garden furniture and 8 sun loungers.
Baby equipment: bed, bath, chair.
Beds made up on arrival, household linen, towels and essentials kits (small groceries and cleaning) available.

Caroline Très beau séjour en Dordogne
Nous avons passé un très beau séjour en famille et entre amis. Le gîte est décoré avec goût et très fonctionnel. Les propriétaires sont très agréables. L&J Très bon séjour
Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances dans cette belle maison. L’accueil des propriétaires est parfait : chaleureux et attentionné. Marielle nous donne de nombreuses idées de sorties pour découvrir la Dordogne.
La maison est très bien agencée : idéale pour une grande famille ! La literie est confortable, et le gîte est très propre. Nous avons bien profité de la belle terrasse et du jardin très agréable. Merci beaucoup pour cette semaine !- Cleanliness

Janet A great place to stay
Alessential was a perfect place for our stay in the area for a wedding at Chateau de Redon, it was a 20 minute walk home from the Chateau.
Marielle gave us a very warm welcome, (and speaks excellent English) The old farmhouse has been very well renovated by Marielle and her husband, and is fully equipped, in particular with a generous amount of all kitchen items.
We would recommend Marielle's home produced nut oil, pate, and jam!
The gite is only half an hour from the lovely Vesere Valley, for Canoeing etc. and only 15 minutes from Hauteforte Chateau. The boulangerie in St Agnan is one of the best we have found in France.
Whilst staying here please visit A La Noix Patiente, they sell a huge range of walnut products all of which are delicious.- Cleanliness

Traduction : Alessential était un endroit parfait pour notre séjour dans la région pour un mariage au Château de Redon, c'était à 20 minutes à pied du château.
Marielle nous a réservé un accueil très chaleureux (et parle un excellent anglais). L'ancienne ferme a été très bien rénovée par Marielle et son mari et est entièrement équipée, notamment avec une quantité généreuse d'ustensiles de cuisine. Nous recommandons l'huile, la pâte et la confiture de noix produites par Marielle ! Le gîte est à seulement une demi-heure de la belle vallée de la Vézère, pour le canoë, etc. et à seulement 15 minutes du château de Hautefort. La boulangerie de St Agnan est l'une des meilleures que nous ayons trouvées en France.
