Between Futuroscope, Puy du Fou and Châteaux de la Loire, as a couple or with a child, enjoy the "Le petit Cottage" gîte, a cosy nest in a quiet hamlet 3km from Airvault and St Loup Lamairé, small towns full of character. The traditional cottage is set in a 1400m² property, close to the owners' holiday home. Private enclosed courtyard and garden of 700m² with terrace, garden furniture, barbecue, 2 deckchairs and 1 hammock. 2 bicycles available. Pool table in garage. Badminton equipment (net, rackets, shuttlecocks). Petanque area. Small above-ground swimming pool (diameter 140cm, depth 30 cm) available for use in June, July and August. 2 bicycles available. Badminton and billiards in outbuilding. First floor: kitchen-living room-lounge (35m²-small wood-burning stove), washing machine in nearby laundry room, shower room (12m²) with large walk-in shower and toilet. Upstairs: 30m² bedroom (1 bed 160X200, sofa bed 140X190 and crib). Beds made up on arrival. Use of wood-burning stove extra (€20 per large basket of wood). Electric auxiliary heating included. Vallée du Thouet 3km away (hiking, fishing, etc.), Lac du Cébron 5km away (sensitive natural area, bird sanctuary, etc.). 1 hour from the Châteaux of the Loire (Saumur, Chinon), the Marais Poitevin and the Puy du Fou.

T and C A lovely holiday in a peaceful location
We had a great stay in this charming cottage in the countryside. The cottage is comfortable and perfect for a couple in search of a quiet holiday. The garden is a lovely space to sit and eat breakfast before heading out to explore the area. We also used the pétanque court during a lazy day at "home". Would happily recommend!

Extremely remote, quiet, just as we like, although hard to find.
Very clean, beautifully restored and decorated. Perfect comfort although, very hot, more tree shade would have been nice. Lovely garden, well equipped. Could do with some sharper knives though! Good cycling, although at cooler temperature! Enjoyable, thank you.- Cleanliness

Hello Brenda, Not too sure about it being extremely remote as we are situated in a village surrounded by villages and 2 lovely towns within 2miles with all amenities but I am so glad you did enjoy our beautiful cottage and garden.

Cottage calme et reposant. Très bien aménagé avec une touche "anglaise". Parc très joliment fleuris et bien entretenu. Pas de vis à vis, au calme. Il manque juste la connexion Internet.

Merci pour votre avis. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez passé un séjour reposant dans notre magnifique chalet. La plupart des clients ont désormais accès à la 4G et à la 5G si besoin. Nous aimons penser que chacun peut vraiment se détendre, se ressourcer et faire un voyage dans le temps.
