Beautiful house in a beautifull area

This beautiful, traditional en-pierre house is build in the traditional way. It's spacious with 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 downstairs, providing beds for 8. Inside it stayed nicely cool, while it was 33 degrees C outside.
The house is located at the end of a road where three other houses and a few granges are dotted in the sloping landscape, surrounded by trees which give plenty of shade and privacy.
The enclosed garden runs around the building. During the day you always find a place to sit in the sun. If you prefer the shade, there is a large tree in the middle of the garden where you can sit or lay yourself on a deckchair all day.
Inside the house you'll find old character furniture which give you the feeling you wend back in time. A more comfortable couch should be on the wish list though.
Luckily there are modernities too. There is a flat screen TV and internet, although slow. It's ok for emailing and searching information. But forget streaming movies or watching YT with three people on-line. More time left to spend together. There is nothing wrong with disconnecting from the worlds madness for a week.
There is a washing machine and the kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, microwave, a big fridge and other modern things you might expect nowadays. We missed a set of sharp kitchen knives and a wooden cutting board. I'm sure the owner will sort that out.
And the landscape. What to say about that. Words can't describe it. There are fishing ponds next to the property, where you are allowed to fish, if you ask the owner who has the fishing rights. One pond in particular is stunning in the morning sun. I strongly recommend to walk around it slowly and watch the abundance of plants, shrubs and trees on this little peace of earth.
The Creuse isn't famous for it's tourist attractions. Instead the whole arrondissement is the attraction.
You should find it out yourself and this Gîte is the perfect place as a base.
