A large part of its valley is classified as a Natura 2000 site, as it is ecologically, landscape and culturally rich. The relief alternates between wild, wooded gorges and calmer zones bordered by grazed meadows, vast moors and peat bogs. (Fario trout, European otter, dipper...)

Le Compostelle is located just 4km from CHATELUS LE MARCHEIX, in the Thaurion valley. Nathalie and Serge have worked hard to make this gîte a cosy little nest for 2 people (see conditions for 4 people with the owners). As keen hikers, they will be able to advise you on the best routes close to the house. Fishing available in CHATELUS LE MARCHEIX and CHAUVERNE-NEYRE.

Pas de souci, nous notons mais sommes surpris par la note accueil client sachant que peu de gites offrent un Creusois et une bouteille pour déguster.

Gîte idéal pour un couple, confortable et bien agencé.
Séjour agréable au milieu de la verdure et au calme absolu.
Nombreuses balades pédestres autour du gîte pour les amoureux de la marche à pied.
Bien situé pour visiter les sites remarquables d'une partie de la Creuse et de la Haute-Vienne. Ne pas rater entre autres, Aubusson, Limoges, St Léonard de Noblat, Bénévent, Le marché de Bourganeuf, le lac de Vassivière.

Rose Marie et Michae Excellent gîte
L'accueil des propriétaires a été très chaleureux. Le gîte est très confortable, il ne manque rien, nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison. De très belles balades à faire dans la creuse, c'est très joli. Nos 2 petits chiens étaient ravi.
