The Holiday cottage is a 19th-century Correzienne house, typical of non-farming rural dwellings, with south-west exposure and views over the village and its hills. Beynat, cité du Cabas, is at the heart of the Corrézienne chestnut grove. The village offers Countryside vacations, with Hiking departing from the Holiday cottage. Beynat has all the shops you need just 400 m from the gîte, with a Sunday morning market under the covered market hall, and local producers' markets in July and August. The Miel tourist center (12ha lake) with supervised swimming is 4 km from the Holiday cottage. Beynat, at the gateway to the Dordogne valley, is close to some of the most beautiful sites in the Midi Corrézien: Aubazine Cistercian Abbey and the monks' canal, Collonges la Rouge, Curemonte, Turenne, Beaulieu sur Dordogne and its small local heritage, etc... The Museums du Cabas and its cabatières workshops, the flower and poultry fair (May 1), the award-winning chestnut fair (3rd Sun in Oct.) are all very popular.

Detached Holiday cottage on enclosed plot with garage. It comprises a Countryside kitchen with decorative cantou, small freezer, microwave, washing machine and 2 bedrooms (1 bed 140, 2 beds 90). Electric heating. Bathroom and toilet are separate. Linen rental and cleaning service available. In addition to the local tourist offices, the owners can provide you with tourist brochures for visits to 4 of France's most beautiful villages and numerous tourist sites around the Dordogne valley in Correze. The owners will be happy to give you advice on sightseeing. They can also provide recipe ideas for Correze cuisine. A small library of regional and local books (C. Signol - La rivière espérance-, M. Peyramaure - L'orange de Noël - , C. Michelet - Des grives aux loups ......) is available in the Holiday cottage. English spoken.
