Sornac is an ideal starting point for a wide range of Hiking and biking trails through the magnificent panoramas of the Plateau de Millevaches, its forests, peat bogs and lakes.
A relaxing setting with a leisure park (Beach, city-stadium, ping-pong, Kids' games, numerous activities throughout the summer). Fishing at Lake des Chaux starts in April and lasts until the end of October.
Close to the town center, in a village with many shops.

Close to the Auvergne volcanoes, the Dordogne gorges, the Cité internationale de la tapisserie in Aubusson, Lake Vassivière and the Château de Val in Bort-les-Orgues.

Communal Holiday cottage with separate entrance, set in an old farmhouse renovated into 5 Holiday cottages, on the edge of the Lake des Chaux with large unenclosed communal landscaped grounds (adjoining Holiday cottage n°4 which is located above). This Holiday cottage comprises a bedroom with a double bed (140cm), a shower room with WC, a living room with sofa bed and a fully-equipped kitchenette (vitro-ceramic stove, electric oven, microwave, 2 coffee makers: filter and Senseo pods, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine), Electric heating.
WIFI and connected TV. A cleaning kit with eco-responsible products is provided.
Private outdoor area with garden furniture (wooden table and benches) and barbecue.
Baby equipment available on loan.
Pets allowed under owner's responsibility.
