We'd like to welcome you to this house, the birthplace of many of our ancestors. Built in 1745, this stone house is typically Corrèze. In the main room, you'll find the Bassière, "the scullery of yesteryear, located on the north side to keep food fresh. Another traditional feature is the Cantou, the fireplace, the only means of heating and cooking.

In the heart of the Corrèze, this small, fully renovated stone house blends old-world charm with modern comforts. The living room retains authentic features such as a bassière and an inglenook fireplace, with a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings.
The Holiday cottage has a small private garden of 60 m², separating it from the owner's house, which has an independent entrance on the other side, to ensure your peace and quiet.
Situated in the peaceful village of Lafage-sur-Sombre, you'll be a stone's throw from Lake Marcillac-la-Croisille, perfect for swimming, fishing and water sports. The surrounding area offers many places to discover and paths for memorable walks or Hiking tours, including the Rochers Noirs viaduct, Château de Ventadour and Château de Sédières.
After three steps, you arrive in a welcoming living space. This includes a living room with inglenook fireplace, wood-burning stove, TV, sofa and dining table with chairs. On the other side, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, including an oven, a three-burner induction hob, a hood, a dishwasher, a microwave, a fridge, as well as a filter coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster and a Senseo pod coffee maker.
There's also a first bedroom with a 140 cm bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Upstairs, you'll find a second bedroom with a 140 cm bed and an additional 70 cm bed, and a bathroom with shower and toilet for your convenience.

Anne Sejour très agréable
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison typiquement corrèzienne, alliant l'ancien à la modernité et fonctionnalité de la cuisine. Nous avons eu un très bon accueil de la part des propriétaires. La région offre de belles balades (château de Sediere, Argentat, Beaulieu sur Dordogne, Aubazine...)
Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les petites attentions de nos hôtes, les lits faits à l'arrivée et le ménage compris dans la prestation.

CatBe Vacances corréziennes, sur la haute Dordogne
Nous avons effectué deux belles semaines de vacances en Corrèze. Nous avons fait beaucoup de vélo, les routes sont calmes, en particulier les routes VVP. Les descentes/ remontées de la Dordogne ainsi que tous les villages traversés sont magnifiques.
Le gite est une maison typique de Corrèze, avec des petites fenêtres, un beau cantou, et servait, il y a peu, de ferme auberge. Tout le confort est prévu.
Il se situe dans un tout petit hameau très calme. Les propriétaires qui habitent juste à côté, sont vraiment très disponibles et surtout très accueillants. Un grand merci pour les très bons conseils et surtout les excellentes victuailles !!!- Cleanliness
