This single-storey gîte has been converted into a fully renovated 18th-century house on a winegrowing estate. Situated in the heart of the Cognac vineyards, it boasts a large enclosed garden and peaceful surroundings.
Kitchen with dining area, living room with alcove / gaming room, one bedroom with 2 90cm beds, one bedroom with 160cm bed, bathroom with bath and shower, separate toilet. Baby bed and equipment available on request.
Bed linen and towels provided, beds made on arrival.
Private, enclosed garden (900 m2) with flowers and shade, terrace and swing. Ping-pong table in the courtyard, car or motorcycle shelter.
Tour of the farm and distillery, farm products for sale on site: cognac, hazelnuts, walnuts.
Baby Equipment: cot, high chair, changing mat, bath ring and potty.

La famille de Bernard exploite le domaine depuis le XVIIIème. Bernard, désormais à la retraite fait volontiers visiter la distillerie et la noyeraie. Martine, longtemps professeur de lettres et d'histoire, s'occupe de l'accueil. Tous les deux cherchent à allier rencontres humaines et passion pour la région.

Simpson A rural gite in which to relax amongst the vines
This was our second 3 week stay in this lovely, well equipped gite, hosted by owners Bernard and Martine. Whilst the weather was mixed, it did not spoil our holiday. This comfortable gite is surrounded by vines in the beautiful French countryside. Well situated for the towns of Cognac, Jonzac, Jarnac, Angouleme and our favourite countryside of Saint Preuil. The gite is also not far from the French coast to dip toes in the sea! The local amenities in Lignieres-Ambleville are also worthy of a mention.

It was a real pleasure to see you again. We always appreciate your enthusiasm, your smile and your kindness. The weather was mixed, rather cool (less in England?), so you were able to enjoy the garden and yhe flowers. It's also true that Charente has a Tuscan feel.
