This authentic, detached Normandy house, located in the Boucles de la Seine Normande Regional Nature Park, boasts a 1000m² enclosed garden planted with trees and flowers. In the heart of the Normandy countryside, you can enjoy the tourist attractions of the Seine Valley, just 30 minutes from the beaches. All amenities 5 km away.
Pets welcome (cats accepted): maximum 2 dogs per stay: very small dogs (e.g. Yorkie, Pug), small dogs (Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, Australian Shepherd).
First floor :
- open kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, ceramic hob),
- dining room and living room with fireplace (insert), flat-screen TV, DVD player,
- bathroom with shower and bathtub,

1st floor:

Un beau gîte
4/5Séjour agréable, gîte bien situé et au calme, grand jardin pour les enfants et les animaux.
Grand garage pour deux voitures.
Petit bémol manque de produits d'entretien et escalier un peu raide.

Rather disappointed
2/5Why we don't give a positive advice for this gite:
- The owners were not very friendly when we arrived and even a bit suspicious. Contrary to the website they also didn't speak english which made conversation not very easy;
- We have 2 dogs but they were not allowed on the sofa although it was covered by 3 blankets for protection;
- When we settled down we discovered that the house was not as clean as may have been expected. There was a lot of dust and the toilets were just filthy and had to be cleaned by us. Not a job one looks forward to when just arriving. Especially if you have to pay 70 euro's for the final cleaning;
- We also found for the first time in our experience that the rather common things you expect like salt, pepper, coffee filters etc were missing.
- The house was next to the road and passing cars were distinctly heard inside the house (Fortunately it was not a very crowded street);
- The staircase to the first floor is rather tricky (180 degrees corner) and was in strong need of a handrail;
-The feeling that the owners were a bit suspicious was rather confirmed at the end of our stay, when the blankets on the sofa were taken off to see if our dogs hadn't damaged it, the tableware and the glasses were controlled and counted if nothing was taken away.
But perhaps because all was found all right and we left the house much cleaner than it was, we got a handshake at leaving.Perhaps the owners did have problems with other customers, but we have not come across such behaviour in the more than 30 years we have rented cottages at the Gite-de-France.
On the positive side we can mention that we were allowed to bring our 2 dogs, that the cottage itself was okay (apart from the traffic noise) and that the garden was lovely (but also spoilt at times by the traffic noise). There is also a huge garage, but if your car is a bit large (like our Volvo XC60) don't use it for parking, because it is rather a puzzle to get it back on the road without damaging it.- Cleanliness 3/5
