In the Perche region of France, we like to call these large houses "châteaux", with their sober, elegant lines set in wooded grounds. Yours is in Bellavilliers, a charming village built around a lovely church. Valérie and Denis inherited it and decided to open it up to guests who would like to "live a bit of château life". They had to keep its soul as a family home where all generations meet, but also dust off the decor and make it more comfortable. 2 years of work, sorting out old furniture, good ideas from friends and numerous cousins, and the house is ready for a second life.
