Le chalet Tchanqué de la forêt

The Tchanqué Chalet, an unusual lodging option, is modeled after the fishermen’s cabins on stilts found in the Arcachon Basin. It is located at the far end of the Écouves campsite, on the edge of the Forest. Come enjoy a unique experience surrounded by nature. Ideally situated at the foot of the Écouves Forest—Normandy’s largest forest—and just a stone’s throw from a beautiful pond, the Tchanqué offers an ideal location at the crossroads of long-distance hiking trails (GR22, Chemin de Saint-Michel, GR36, and Véloscénie), along with marked trail running routes, and just a few kilometers from Alençon.

Living room (with sofa bed) featuring a fully equipped kitchenette, 1 bedroom (1 double bed, 140x190 cm; bedding not provided), bathroom with walk-in shower, separate toilet.
Upper level (accessible via a ladder): 1 bedroom (2 single beds, Bed 90x190),

Large raised terrace with a view of the goats. Nearby, a 5,000 m² pond for fishing (roach, carp, and pike) and swimming (with a rowboat), with free, unsupervised access.
At the campsite: kids’ playground, table tennis, pétanque, badminton, and volleyball. Wi-Fi.
Access to a shared washing machine 30 meters away from April through the end of October.
Fitness trail in the national forest 1.5 km away.
CERTIFIED FOR CYCLING AND HORSEBACK RIDING.
Dogs (1 dog only) must be kept on a leash on the campsite once you leave Le Tchanqué; the dog-walking path is 20 m away.
