Overlooking a magnificent panorama of the Ecouves national forest, this gite is ideally situated at the crossroads of hiking trails (GR22, Chemin de Saint Michel, GR 36 and véloscénie) and just a few kilometers from Alençon. Nearby, a 5000 m² pond for fishing (roach, carp and pike) and bathing (with boat) in unsupervised free access. Located on two of the seven trail stations of the Ecouves massif. Direct access on foot or by bike to shops in the village of Radon.
One-storey detached house.
Ground floor:
kitchen opening onto a living room, lounge and dining room,
bedroom with double bed (140 x 190 cm) and en-suite shower room,

First floor:

Large 3.5-hectare plot with gantry.
Possibility of accommodating up to 6 horses (€5/horse/day), hay provided. Horse riding: on site from June.
Dogs kept on a leash outside (not fenced in); any droppings on lawns and inside paths collected, hygienic walk outside the property very easy to access.

Bonjour, je vous remercie des precisions concernant les odeurs dans la salle de bain ; il est dommage que vous ne nous ayiez pas informé de cela pendant votre sejour car nous etions sur place et serions intervenus immediatement afin de resoudre le probleme.

MG Beau gîtes dans là campagne normande proche forêt
Le gîte est situé dans un écrin de verdure avec vue sur les chevaux, grand jardin et la forêt d’écouve à 3 min à pieds. Le gîte est très bien équipé avec du matériel de qualité notamment pour l’electromenager.

Phil Lovely gîte and exceptionally lovely owners
We had a wonderful stay at the gîte. It's a delightful cottage with a beautiful garden and amazing views. The open-plan ground floor is characterful and charming, with plenty of living space - a TV area, dining area, sitting area. Plenty of bathroom space - two showers, two toilets - and it means it when it says it sleeps 6 comfortably. Kitchen entirely adequate - hob, oven, dishwasher (!) all work well, and the washing machine in the cellar works too. We have a 7 year old who loved being able to run free in the garden, and an 18 month old - I'd recommend it for slightly older children to be honest, there are no stair gates and we did spend quite a while chasing the toddler up the stairs and bringing her down!
But what we will always remember is the owners, who are the loveliest and kindest people you could hope for. We had a car breakdown just before we were meant to leave, and they could not have done more for us: extended our stay free of charge, brought us food, gave us a lift to the garage and helped negotiate with the mechanics - just unbelievable kindness. (THANK YOU!)
