Sylvie and Stéphane have patiently restored this charming little rural hamlet over the years, driven by a sincere desire to share and a healthy dose of courage. In this natural green setting, they have worked to preserve traditional architecture through self-construction, seeking a return to simplicity and authenticity. Local materials, upcycling, and self-sufficiency are the guiding principles of this lifelong project, with a particular love for the larch shingle roofs that give the site its unique character. Not only certified as an Ecogîte®, the Maison du Pré is remarkable for its consideration of accessibility for people with disabilities. The owners have thought through every detail to ensure that anyone in a wheelchair, or with hearing or visual impairments, can live comfortably here. PRM certification is pending. The nearby greenway and the GR223 offer beautiful hiking trails.
