Set in a long stone building where the owners live, this Holiday cottage is ideal for guests seeking peace and quiet. The living room is warm and welcoming, with its old fireplace and hemp and lime rendering. A few steps further down, you'll find a small, peaceful private garden with a large, west-facing terrace. Hikers are invited to explore the many sunken paths in the surrounding bocage (signposted on site), unless you'd like to ride your horse in this region where the horse is king (haras de St Lô). The village is the birthplace of a modest family, the Hautevilles, who left in the Middle Ages to found a powerful kingdom in Sicily and southern Italy. A free Museums is open all summer. Etang des Sarcelles 5km away. Coutances and its cathedral 14km.
