It’s a genuine little rural hamlet that Sylvie and Stéphane have patiently restored over the years, driven by a sincere desire to share and a healthy dose of courage. In this natural green setting, they have worked to preserve traditional architecture through self-construction, seeking a return to simplicity and authenticity. Local materials, repurposed items, and self-sufficiency are the guiding principles of this lifelong project, with a particular fondness for the larch shingle roofs that give the site its unique character. Not only is La Maison du Pré eco-friendly, but it’s also remarkable for its commitment to accessibility for people with disabilities. The owners have meticulously planned every aspect of the property to ensure that anyone using a wheelchair, or who is hard of hearing or has visual impairment, can live there comfortably. The property is currently in the process of obtaining PMR certification as well as Ecogîte certification. The nearby greenway and the GR223 hiking trail offer beautiful hiking opportunities.
