The lodge is an integral part of the Utah-Beach Estate, a 178ha estate in the heart of the countryside offering various services.
The wooded path which accesses the property was used very early by the American soldiers who came to liberate Europe on June 6, 1944. Utah Beach is located only a few hundred meters from Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, a town in the Regional Park of the Cotentin Marshes.
The Estate is made up of 4 gîtes, 19 hotel rooms, an organic farm and also stables. The “Chez Arsène” Restaurant offers you dishes every evening made from fresh, local products as well as beef raised and produced on our zero-carbon farm, “Utah Beef”.

Un cadre charmant et dépaysant
5/5Le gîte est situé dans un cadre charmant, très calme. Parfait pour se reposer.
Beaucoup de choses à voir à proximité : la mer, les plages, les marais, les musées, les vestiges,...
Nous avons adoré la cheminée, la charettiere à disposition pour les vélos, le chat pour les câlins.
Le logement est très bien aménagé et bien équipé (on peut cuisiner dans de bonnes conditions, c'est appréciable et peu fréquent).
Selon moi, pour suggestion, il manque de rangement dans la grande chambre (pas de planche dans l'armoire) pour pouvoir vider les valises.
Mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de passer un très bon séjour. Merci pour votre accueil- Cleanliness 4/5

2/5The cottage is very old-fashioned and dark. The furniture is almost worn out. There is a disturbing smell from the stove. French-language TV only. Wifi drops out regularly. No private terrace. The upstairs is ok. Good beds and decent bathroom.

Thanks for your feedback. We are sorry that you did not appreciate our decoration, which is visible in the photos when booking our accommodation. We appreciate the mottled decoration which rubs shoulders with modern elements. I'm sorry you defined it as almost worn. The fireplace gives a warm aspect that many of our customers know how to appreciate more by its positive side than by its negative side.
We don't have any foreign channels on our gite TVs. The high speed wifi generated by Starlink may occasionally have brownouts and we apologize for this, unfortunately we cannot act on this point. Our farmhouse is set back, which makes its charm for the calm that surrounds it but is not connected to the fiber.
Finally, the terrace offered to you, with its table and garden furniture, is of course private.
We have at the domain, a welcome in Dutch, which moreover welcomed you. We could surely have discussed this dissatisfaction during your stay. The very rainy weather during your stay did not help to give clarity in the cottage. The large lounge with games was available and many of our customers were able to take advantage of it during rainy episodes. This lounge would surely have helped to improve the experience of your stay if you had been there. -

Séjour dans le cotentin
5/5Séjour agréable, dans un lieu très calme, reposant et verdoyant. Le gite est très bien situé pour visiter les sites du débarquement ce qui a été un atout pour notre séjour. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir et confiance.

Gîte très bien dans un très bel endroit
5/5Le site est superbe. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et disponibles, comme l’ensemble du personnel. Nous avons dîné au restaurant du domaine : excellente cuisine à base de produits de qualité. On peut faire de très belles balades à pied en partant directement du gîte.

5/5Treizième séjour sur Lavalle ...
C'est dire notre joie d'y retrouver nos hôtes Elsa et Nicolas et leurs deux petites filles Madeleine et Juliette qu'on voit grandir avec bonheur .
Oui, le magnifique "domaine de Utah Beach le grand hard" vaut le détour ..
Vous y trouverez 4 gites bien équipés et au calme ,de bons produits locaux, une ambiance générale apaisante et sereine mais également très active autour de la ferme bio qu'on peut visiter et de l'hôtel restaurant attenant pour une autre forme de séjour tout aussi merveilleux et gustative .
Notre gite lavalle dans lequel nous avons nos habitudes est un lieux chargé d'histoires ;de ces histoires de grandes famille de la terre du dur labeur et de cette période de juin 1944 qui a vu notre pays enfin délivré . Les plages et nombreux musées fort intéressants du secteur en témoignent .
