In the heart of the Cotentin Marshes, Picauville is a small village located 8 km from Ste Mère Eglise, one of the landmarks of the D-Day landings in June 1944. This 55 m² extension, adjoining and extending the owners' house, is luminous (large bay windows) and offers all the comforts for a 2/3-person stay. From both inside and out, you'll have a view of the equestrian area, where horses put on a show (show jumping, prancing and rides in the indoor arena). Hiking enthusiasts will also enjoy the Holiday cottage's location at the foot of a hiking trail (19 km). Although you'll have your own private garden, you'll be able to wander as you please in the orchard and meadow.
Semi-detached house. Ground floor: Living room (sofa, Bluetooth speaker) with kitchenette (range hood, induction cooktop, microwave, espresso machine, fridge-freezer). Bathroom with toilet (sink, shower, towel warmer). On the mezzanine: 180-bed. Living room (Orange TV with international channels, fiber-optic internet, board games) that can accommodate an extra bed with the sofa bed (140). Outside: Private, enclosed garden. Covered terrace of 15 m². Garden furniture. Deck chairs. Grill. Covered storage area (washer, dryer). Parking available under the porch. Yard secured by a gate. Outdoor games (croquet, Frisbee, ball… and archery available, as well as paddle rentals upon request). Accommodation for 2 horses available (pasture, shelter, water, and hay) for an additional fee. Electric heating at an additional cost. Bed linens and bathroom linen provided. Beds made on arrival. Cleaning included. Baby equipment.

Skipy Très bonne expérience
Gite neuf,lumineux et spacieux, très agréable, avec tout l'équipement nécessaire. Très bonne literie. Très bon emplacement, à la fois au calme complet mais tout de même près des grands axes pour rejoindre facilement aussi bien les plages que les lieux historiques. Accueil très chaleureux de la part des propriétaires Yvan et Maryse. Ce gite mériterait en fait 3 épis.Nous le recommandons sans hésitation.

MJG Gite parfait pour découvrir le Cotentin
Le gite est trés agréable, bien équipé, neuf, au calme avec une terrasse vue sur le jardin magnifiquement arboré. Depuis Picauville, tout la pointe du Cotentin est facilement accessible. Merci au propriétaire pour son accueil.

Gert-Jan A pleasant and relaxing holiday
Upon arrival we received a warm welcome by our hosts. Several local products were part of the welcome package.
The gite was recently built next to the main house and was very clean and tidy. We could use and enjoy a beautiful garden and could store our sports gear in the garage, where also a washing and drying machine were available. The gite was well equipped and has a large bedroom upstairs. Unfortunately, wireless internet was not working, but our host will have fixed this in the meantime.
The gite is located in the centre of the Cotentin region, it was very quiet and peaceful, and only a 5-minute walk to the local supermarket. It was located perfectly for our hiking and bicycle trips in the north, east and west. It is also close to some of the WWII memorial sites and musea which we visted.
We had a very pleasant week at An Avel.
