In the heart of the Cotentin Marshes, Picauville is a small village located 8 km from Ste Mère Eglise, one of the landmarks of the D-Day landings in June 1944. This 55 m² extension, adjoining and extending the owners' house, is luminous (large bay windows) and offers all the comforts for a 2/3-person stay. From both inside and out, you'll have a view of the equestrian area, where horses put on a show (show jumping, prancing and rides in the indoor arena). Hiking enthusiasts will also enjoy the Holiday cottage's location at the foot of a hiking trail (19 km). Although you'll have your own private garden, you'll be able to wander as you please in the orchard and meadow.
Semi-detached house. Ground floor: Living room (sofa, Bluetooth speaker) with kitchenette (range hood, induction cooktop, microwave, espresso machine, fridge-freezer). Bathroom with toilet (sink, shower, towel warmer). On the mezzanine: 180-bed. Living room (Orange TV with international channels, fiber-optic internet, board games) that can accommodate an extra bed with the sofa bed (140). Outside: Private, enclosed garden. Covered terrace of 15 m². Garden furniture. Deck chairs. Grill. Covered storage area (washer, dryer). Parking available under the porch. Yard secured by a gate. Outdoor games (croquet, Frisbee, ball… and archery available, as well as paddle rentals upon request). Accommodation for 2 horses available (pasture, shelter, water, and hay) for an additional fee. Electric heating at an additional cost. Bed linens and bathroom linen provided. Beds made on arrival. Cleaning included. Baby equipment.

Lovely gite in perfect location to enjoy total peace and quiet yet only a 10-15 minute walk to supermarket and the village. The property is compact but plenty of space in living and bedroom areas. Kitchenette is fully equipped for catering such as space will allow. French doors to shaded outdoor area, and wider access to pretty, well-kept garden and orchard area. We were there during very hot weather and the gite always remained refreshingly cool! Yvan and Maryse were excellent hosts and the welcome gifts (especially the home-made jam) were a kind and thoughtful touch. We really enjoyed our week at An Avel, which is well situated for visiting places of interest in the area. Would definitely recommend it. Merci beaucoup

Drewrugger Beautiful cottage near Picauville
Stay was wonderful! Quiet and peaceful location still close enough to Picauville to walk to town. Host was welcoming and checked in to make sure we had what we needed.

OToPo gîte très agréable
Très bon séjour dans ce gîte à la campagne,au calme et très bien situé car central. Proche de tous les sites historiques à visiter (plages, monuments) et à quelques kilomètres de toutes les villes de la région (Cherbourg, Coutances, Valognes etc...). Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et accueillants avec des attentions gourmandes à l'arrivée. L'environnement du gîte est très soigné avec un très beau jardin. Je recommande sans problème.
