In the heart of the Roumois region, La Haye-de-Routot is a charming village with traditional half-timbered houses and eco-museums. In one of its hamlets, Elisabeth warmly welcomes you to her beautiful, equally traditional home with its timber framing and jay’s tail gable, set in the middle of a lovely, spacious garden: a terrace for social gatherings or breakfast on sunny days, a permaculture vegetable garden, a pond, a chicken coop and pasture for sheep, as well as a large orchard. Just behind the house, the stunning Brotonne Forest, nestled in one of the Seine’s bends, offers plenty of walking trails. The room is located upstairs and offers true comfort in a warm, inviting setting, with a beautiful private bathroom and toilet. You’ll love the delicious French breakfasts prepared by Elisabeth using homemade goods such as her cakes, apple juice from her orchard, eggs from her chickens, seasonal fruits, and whatever else the garden has to offer, along with carefully selected local products. A table d’hôtes meal may also be available upon reservation with the owner.
You can use the bicycles to explore the surrounding country roads and visit places like Routot, for shops and restaurants. A little further away, don’t miss a visit to Pont-Audemer—a charming, quintessentially Norman town with its canals, narrow streets, and typical old houses—and the Marais Vernier, a superb nature reserve.

On the first floor of the half-timbered house, accessed by the traditional staircase under the "geai tail", a pretty, warm attic bedroom with wainscoting: double bed, desk and armchairs for comfort. Adjoining is a lovely, modern shower room with large walk-in shower, vanity unit and toilet. Breakfast is served in the dining room, next to an open fire in winter, or in the lovely, spacious garden which opens onto the Countryside in fine weather. Parking is available under the carport, with access (for a fee) to a charging station for electric vehicles. Kids' play area in the garden. The GR23 is 2 km away.
