Are you looking for a place where you can relax and keep your whole family occupied? Le Presbytère de Buis is for you. This elegant 17th-century country house has undergone a complete overhaul, and now boasts a chic country atmosphere that combines old terracotta floor tiles and exposed half-timbering with family heirlooms and antique furniture, as well as contemporary pieces. Plus: lots of space both inside and out, with several living areas including a spacious open-plan living room, a second living room and a mezzanine for the little ones, and 2 beautiful walled gardens, each with a terrace and all the furniture you need to enjoy it. There's also plenty to keep you entertained: a superb indoor swimming pool, just for you, a pétanque court, a games room with table soccer, billiards, darts and fitness equipment, and plenty of board games and books for everyone: in short, a lovely, lively and welcoming house. For shopping, village 5 km away.
Ground floor: entrance, large living room on 2 levels with sitting room near the wood-burning stove (TV with theme channels including Netflix), well-equipped kitchen with dining area and access to the terrace. Second living room for relaxation or leisure (full of board games), 2 double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room, independent bathroom with shower and bathtub; 2 independent toilets. Upstairs, a mezzanine for the little ones with a resting area and 2 school desks; then 3 bedrooms including 2 doubles, one with en-suite shower room, and a family room with large double bed (180x200) and 2 single beds; separate shower room and separate wc. In an outbuilding, an attractive games room with treadmill, exercise bike, table soccer, billiards and shuffleboard, darts, etc. The large, walled garden (1700 m²) is divided into 2 sections, each with its own terrace. The swimming pool (9mx4m) is private, covered and accessible from early Easter to late All Saints' Day. Wood at extra cost.

The house was large and comfortable downstairs with a great lounge and second quiet room,however, there were a number of issues which we had not appreciated when reviewing the web information prior to booking. The 3 toilets are very small and not within the bath/shower rooms. The 2 downstairs were less of an issue but upstairs would be a problem. Here there are 3 bedrooms off a very narrow corridor together with one separate shower/sink room and one toilet without a sink. Therefore 2 bedrooms are without separate facilities. The other double bedroom has an en-suite shower and sink. From this you will gather that 7 beds are serviced by 1 sink/shower room and 9 beds use the 1 small WC room which has no sink.
We also experienced problems with green algae in the pool on arrival and had to call out the engineer twice in the week, the problem was never resolved and made using the pool a disappointment although we were assured that the algae was not dangerous. The covered pool was otherwise impressive as was the games room and garden and outside furniture and patios. We felt that the kitchen had everything needed but was a bit basic but nonetheless still perfectly useable. Hope that helps.- Cleanliness

The number of shower rooms and bathrooms is clearly indicated, as is the fact that the toilets are separate.
I am sorry that the extreme heat affected the pool water; such conditions are indeed exceptional for our region.
We are delighted, however, that you enjoyed the gîte overall.

Un bel endroit, une belle bâtisse et un bel accueil !
La cuisine est tout équipée, les espaces sont parfait pour se détendre (fléchettes/billard/babyfoot) et les lits confortables !

PDP Confort et espace
Le lieu est très agréable, tout à fait adapté à un séjour en famille autour de trois générations. beaucoup d'espaces et l'ensemble est très propre. 2 critiques sur des points qui semblent devoir être corrigés:
-Les détecteurs d'allumage des éclairages de couloirs ne semblent pas judicieux, d'autant que certaines portes de chambres sont vitrées.
-Le maintien de la propreté de la piscine sous dôme plexiglass s'est avérée impossible, aggravé par les fortes chaleurs. N'ayant pas d'accès au traitement d'eau, cette piscine est devenue inutilisable lors de la fin du séjour.

Vous avez raison, nous avons mis un dôme au-dessus de la piscine pour le confort de nos hôtes.
Toutefois en période de forte canicule, avec le dôme, la température monte beaucoup provoquant, parfois, une altération de l'eau.
Ravi que vous ayez passé un excellent séjour.
