In the heart of the Normandy countryside, “Le Goupil” is one of those places where you immediately feel at home, where you can settle in knowing you’re in the right spot, ready to enjoy a wonderful, rejuvenating stay. The charm of this large, traditional building—renovated to the highest standards—is undeniable! Behind the half-timbered walls lie beautiful, spacious, and comfortable rooms designed for your wellbeing and relaxation. Laure and David have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere through their thoughtful design: exposed beams, bricks, and historic half-timbering; the former stable stall that now houses the kitchen; preserved troughs; an incredible full-height roof structure; and the glass roof of a former greenhouse—all blend seamlessly with a modern decor that’s both soft and colorful, centered around antique furniture and cleverly repurposed objects. Whether it’s summer or winter, you’ll feel right at home: by the stove, in the large living room playing a board game, at the foosball table, or on the large covered terrace for an al fresco meal near the ingenious fire pit area. Darts, ping-pong, soccer goal… it’s your turn to play!
You’re here in a small village, overlooking the fields, just 5 km from a small town with shops and good Restaurants. At the end of the road lies the Forest, and further down, the Risle Valley—which is a lovely place to stroll along from village to village.

GROUND FLOOR: Entrance opens into a lovely room dedicated to leisure activities, featuring a foosball table, board games, and a sofa. A superb, spacious living area centered around a pellet stove, comprising the living room, a well-equipped, partially partitioned kitchen, and a cozy dining area; a second relaxation area. Large bathroom with a hydromassage shower and a separate toilet. UPSTAIRS (slightly steep staircase): a large landing leads to 4 beautiful double bedrooms with exposed beams, each with a double bed (3 of them have a TV); one is lit by a large antique skylight but has no windows opening to the outside; comfortable futon bed. Separate bathroom and toilet. Like a large extra room for sunny days, an outbuilding offers a lovely covered outdoor space with a summer kitchenette, dining area, and darts set. It extends into a cozy seating area around a fire pit. Outdoor activities include a soccer goal and a ping-pong table in the large, enclosed garden (walled and fenced) of approximately 900 m².
