Take a leap back in time to medieval times with an unusual stay at La Commanderie in an 11th-century dwelling. This former stronghold, then a Templar Commandery, has been given a new lease of life by Jean-François. If the atmosphere of this exceptional place is still there, you'll find all the modern comforts and wellbeing of a truly warm vacation spot. Here, everything has been thought out down to the smallest detail, which you'll enjoy, always with respect for the place and its carved stones steeped in history: the furniture, the ceramic or forged crockery, the decor, right down to the bathtub, are all homemade and bring a real sense of originality! You'll love dining in the salle d'armes next to a roaring fire, spending the night in the tower with its round bed, or grilling on the brazier.

Entering from the garden level, the gîte is FULL-FLOOR: warm, well-equipped kitchen, living area in the arms room with its original dining area and period-style armchairs, and the cosy living room by the superb fireplace: comfortable bedding for 2 in the sofa bed. The tower houses the bedroom, with its curves and stone walls, lit by 3 loopholes: large round bed! The bathroom, dressed in wood, is just as original, with its barrel bath, stone washbasin and toilet. On the garden side, you're on the motte féodale, overlooking the village and the small Bonde valley: plenty of space for running, a croquet lawn, a sheltered dining area with a hanging table; ample parking (not enclosed). There are also 2 small gîtes on the property that can be used as additional accommodation.
In the village, local producers, restaurants and bakery, and in Gisors, 6 km away, all the services of a small, friendly town.

C'est dans un joyau d'architecture que M. Jorelle nous a installé, avec sa gentillesse et le souci du détail dans ses aménagements. On l'en remercie.
C'est un retour incroyable à l'époque médiévale, avec le confort du XXIème siècle (on aurait cependant souhaité avoir plus de bois en cette saison!) où l'on s'attend à ce que Guillaume le Conquérant vienne festoyer à notre table!L'endroit est exceptionnel et d'un calme divin. On reviendra en saison plus chaude!

Wir hatten einen super Zeit! Die Burg ist irre, die Kinder fanden es toll und wir haben sehr viel Spaß gehabt, Ritter zu spielen ;)
Bei dem guten Wetter haben wir immer draußen gegessen und die Feuerschale zum Grillen benutzt. Sehr authentisch! Alles in allem war es uns eine große Freude, 2 Nächte in der Burg zu verbringen. Das werden wir bestimmt nie vergessen!- Cleanliness

Lieu incroyable qui,en ouvrant les portes vous transporte immédiatement dans le passé. Son propriétaire (un passionné) vous laisse plein de petites gentilles intentions (la très bonne bouteille de cidre dans le frigo), le panier de noix sur la table rustique, le feu crépitant dans la cheminée ... il sait vous accueillir, vous racontez des anedoctes ... un conteur né !!

Ce gîte médiéval me permet de faire de très jolies rencontres...merci d'être venu passer quelques jours dans cette Tour à remonter le temps, j'ai vraiment apprécié nos échanges et votre gentillesse. A bientôt, il reste un peu de cidre dans la cave de la Commanderie....

Séjour idyllique ou plutôt fantastique dans un environnement laissant libre cours à l'imagination ou plutôt à l'imaginaire. Les soirées au coin du feu sous une voute de pierres étoilées sont magiques, tout comme les repas autour d'une table digne des chevaliers de la table ronde. Si vous avez l'âme romantique ou chevaleresque, ou si vous êtes fan du moyen-âge, vous ne pourrez qu'adorer votre séjour.
