The Vièvre is a lovely little region with a distinctly Norman flavour: rolling green countryside between bocage and Forest, little sunken lanes perfect for strolling and pretty, typical villages like Saint-Georges-du-Vièvre. At its heart, in a quiet cul-de-sac, La Thonet welcomes you. As soon as you pass through the small gate, you're in the mood of this cocoon, a property full of charm with an intimate, enclosed landscaped garden full of flowers. From the large terrace, where you can enjoy breakfast in fine weather, you'll have a view of the old bell tower and, at your feet, the pond with its incredible goldfish amidst the plants; there's also a gazebo for a moment's seclusion and ducks that wander around as the mood takes them. Daniel has created a suite that occupies the entire first floor, just for you: two beautiful, comfortable bedrooms, your own private bathroom and a lounge/library area on the landing, with a desk if required.

The entrance on the ground floor opens onto a staircase that leads upstairs to the suite: on the landing, a lounge area, library and board games, desk with your own courtesy tray for a hot drink. The suite occupies the rest of the floor and offers 2 beautiful bedrooms overlooking the garden and the village: 2 twin beds in the first, an armchair for relaxing, and in the second, a 160x200 double bed, sitting area and screen with DVD player. Attractive en-suite shower room with 2-bowl vanity unit; separate wc. Breakfast is served on the ground floor in the living room, which opens onto the terrace and garden, with fireplace, or in the garden in fine weather.
La Thonet usually opens on weekends, from Thursday to Saturday evenings. Terrace and 500 m² garden with protected fish pond.
