An incredible change of scenery between the Seine, limestone hills and the Forest! Treat yourself to a stay in the old waterman's house.

As its name suggests, this Holiday cottage is the former home of the water ferryman whose boat relayed the two banks of the Seine. After descending a winding forest path through the forest, you arrive facing the Seine and this large white house which faces it on a large garden planted with apple trees. Along the Seine, the towpath, and all around, there are plenty of walks for you to enjoy. The Holiday cottage is simply furnished, but the surroundings are incredible, as if you were in the middle of nowhere, with the boats passing by on their way from the estuary to Rouen. Lulled by this spectacle and the calm of the Countryside, it's the ideal place for a total change of scenery. Skittles, a giant Mikado, snowshoes and, of course, the grassy area for running and playing are all at your disposal. The GR23 passes just up the path. Tennis and pétanque courts in the village. A restaurant is 3 km away, and a pretty village with all the shops is 6 km away.

Ground floor, entrance to kitchen with dining area. Large living room with fireplace: dining area on one side, living room on the other. Accessible via a large unheated room that can be used as a gaming room, laundry area, shower room and toilet. FLOOR:2 triple bedrooms (3 single beds in each) and a bedroom for 4 people with a double bed and 2 single Bunk beds: all offer a superb view of the Seine. Second shower room and toilet. Large unfenced garden (4700 m²) bordering the river. Garage for bikes and 1-2 motorcycles. No linen hire.
Important: access is via a kilometre-long steep forest track not suitable for fragile cars; in heavy rain, access can be slippery and the use of a 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended. Quiet is requested after 10 pm, due to the strong echo on the opposite bank. Please note: the water supply (spring) is not connected to the drinking water network; bottled water is provided.
