A superb address! Sophie and Christophe have designed this charming gîte with attention to detail and your comfort in mind. The result is a truly successful vacation home, elegant with its Mansard roof, warm atmosphere and "country chic" decor: brick walls and floors, parquet flooring, 19th-century fireplace in one bedroom, light colors, natural materials and antique decorative elements. Completely independent, the gîte is situated on the edge of the old farmhouse, with a partially enclosed garden of almost 1 hectare: plenty of space to stretch your legs or enjoy the games on offer! Unless you'd like to go further afield, down the country lanes. The beautiful Vexin Normand region, between Lyons-la-Forêt and its magnificent beech forest, and Les Andelys and its banks of the Seine. Sophie and Christophe will be delighted to talk to you about their produce and the farming profession.
Entrance to the ground floor through the kitchen, on the garden side. Very well equipped, it's functional and very pleasant, with a lovely view of the countryside and garden. Next door, a lovely, warm and cocooning living room, luminous because of its double exposure, with a really comfortable sitting area in front of the fireplace and the dining room. A double bedroom (160x200), private bathroom with large shower and direct access to the garden. WC with washbasin. Upstairs, 2 bedrooms, 1 large and bright with a 180x200 double bed that can be separated if required and a 90x200 single bed, the 2nd with the same double bed that can be separated; with parquet flooring, they are very charming and offer a lovely unobstructed view of the countryside. Spacious bathroom: bath with shower area, toilet and changing table. Large garden and covered shed with games: table tennis, pétanque, croquet and swing. Nearby, a local produce distributor run by Sophie. Gaillon train station is 20/30 minutes away.

Très chouette gîte
5/5Vraiment un gîte très agréable avec une belle ambiance, on s’y sent tout à fait comme chez soi. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le salon très ensoleillé le matin et l'environnement de verdure, tout comme le confort général. Appréciable aussi le prix tout compris, même le bois pour la cheminée si on le souhaite.

Beautiful well furnished comfortable cottage
5/5This is a beautifully furnished and equipped cottage in an excellent rural location close to Lyons la Foret and Les Andelys. Situated on the edge of a lovely farmstead with lots of privacy and views over an orchard and fields. Quiet and relaxing. Excellent welcome from the owners and support - for example providing extra firewood when we ran out towards the end of our 11 night stay. Easy to get into Paris and lots of local attractions (mainly open April - October). Would definitely recommend and come back, we had a wonderful relaxing stay.

5/5Gîte très confortable, nous avons passé Noël en famille au coin de la cheminée.
Literie confortable, nécessaire de cuisine présent largement pour pouvoir cuisiner.
Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables.
Le séjour,et la salle a manger sont décorés avec soin, sobres , juste ce qu'il faut. Décoration faite avec goût.
Accueil simple et sympathique.
Merci pour la petite attention : un sapin de Noël.

Eine wunderschöne Woche
5/5Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefuehlt in dem Haus. Alle Räume sind geschmackvoll möbliert, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, auf dem Freisitz vor dem Haus haben wir stimmungsvolle Sonnenuntergänge erlebt.
Die Lage des Hauses ist ideal für Ausflüge nach Chateau Gaillard (Richard Löwenherz), Giverny und Rouen (Monet) sowie nach Auvers-sur-Oise (Van Gogh). Paris ist mit der Eisenbahn ab Gaillon gut zu erreichen. Am Sonntag gibt es einen schönen Markt in der alten Halle von Lyons-la-Foret, am Samstag in Les Andelys.
In Ecouis liegt eine gute Boulangerie und ein Lidl-Markt in der Nähe.
Die Gastgeberin war sehr zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Wir bedanken uns sehr herzlich bei ihr.Wir bedanken uns noch mal bei der Gastgeberin sehr herzlich.
