In a small village above the Epte valley, La Commanderie, a place steeped in history with its 11th-century medieval tower, welcomes you. Opposite it, in a pretty brick outbuilding, you'll fall under the spell of this charming little gîte, perfect for a break for two. The warmth of beautiful materials, travertine flooring, wood decor, warm or modern shades of green, attractive lighting, well-thought-out equipment such as a really nice kitchen and office area, and everywhere the view of the motte féodale and its medieval tower. Jean-François will tell you all about the history of this place, a former stronghold and later Templar Commandery, and the Vexin Normand region he knows so well; he'll also recommend some of the best places to visit.
In the village, local producers, restaurants and a bakery, and in Gisors, 6 km away, all the services of a small, friendly town.

GITE DE PLAIN PIED: entrance to the main room, both a bedroom with 2 single beds and a small sitting area for two. Next door, a well-equipped kitchen with dining area and view of the tower. Lovely bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity unit; also a window. The gîte benefits from an outdoor area just in front of the gîte, as well as a larger area to be shared with the adjoining gîte on the motte; croquet lawn and ample parking.
