This former presbytery, dating from the late 18th century, is an elegant family home with typical wood panelling, which Hervé is keen to bring up to date. Part of it has now been turned into a really pleasant, spacious and bright vacation home. The ambience is delightful: contemporary, family heirloom or antique furniture decorates the rooms, which are characteristic of these beautiful old houses, with their exposed beams, large windows, fireplaces and antique cupboards.
You're in the heart of a lovely Roumois village, on the edge of the Brotonne forest, which covers an entire meander of the Seine. The scenery is superb, with incredible panoramic views of the river, walks through fields of flax and wheat, through woods and picturesque villages. In terms of leisure activities, you can start your program with a visit to one of the local eco-museums: Maison du Sabotier, Four à Pain, Jardin des Herbes Sauvages, the astonishing thousand-year-old yew trees converted into a chapel and, 3 km away, the Maison du Linen.
Ground floor entrance: bright living room with cozy fireplace and dining area, modern, well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with walk-in shower, vanity unit and toilet. ON THE FIRST FLOOR: two warm, spacious bedrooms with exposed beams: the double, with its pretty parquet floor and view of the church and thousand-year-old yew trees (160x200 bed), has access to a toilet with washbasin, and the triple, with double and single beds and a sitting area. The Holiday cottage adjoins the owners' holiday home and another accommodation on the second floor (ref 1494). You'll enjoy a well-separated private garden of approx. 250 m² with furniture for eating and relaxing, then access to the large, fully enclosed communal area recently planted with beautiful trees. Table tennis and badminton for outdoor play (to be shared with the second Holiday cottage), plenty of board games for indoors.
In Routot, 3 km away, you'll find shops and a restaurant.

Magnifique gîte aux portes de la forêt de brotonne
5/5Gîte aux portes de la forêt de brotonnes. Dans une belle maison normande avec grand jardin. Accès direct aux randonnées à pied ou à vélo. Gîte très bien équipé et confortable. Idéal pour un séjour en famille.

manque d'information
3/5,nous avons apprécié le petit jardin et le calme du village durant la journée
dans le descriptif du gite lors de la location cependant,l 'information concernant le gite au dessus du logement n'était pas suffisamment claire etl'isolation phonique au dessus de la chambre etait insuffisante .

Bonjour, Merci d'avoir pris le temps de laisser un avis sur l'hébergement « Le gîte des ifs ». Nous sommes navrées que votre expérience dans cet hébergement n'ait pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes. La présence d'un second gîte à l'étage était bien indiquée dans le descriptif, que nous allons modifier pour plus de clarté. Pour plus de tranquillité, n'hésitez pas à choisir à l'avenir des hébergements sans mitoyenneté. Cordialement, Alexandra.
Bonjour, je pense que vous avez peut-être manqué un détails, cela peut arriver. En revanche, l'isolation phonique au-dessus de votre chambre est bien réelle, un parquet stratifié a été ajouté avec une sous couche d'isolation acoustique. Ce n'est peut-être pas suffisant à vos yeux mais nous n'avons pas rencontré de problème particulier jusqu'ici. Les veilles maison en ossature bois poutres et colombages ont du cachet mais peuvent transmette le bruit, contrairement au béton qui est plus isolant. Désolé pour cela, mais nous avons fait le maximum pour vous accueillir au mieux.

Gîte agréable !
4/5Le gîte est joli et l’accueil chaleureux et la décoration très soignée les chambres sont superbes et décorées avec goût, la lliterie parfaite. Des moments près près de la cheminée très agréable. Feu prêt à notre arrivée ! Merci !
La maison est à côté d’une église avec un petit cimetière à l’arrière du jardin avec des arbres millénaires.

Really enjoyed our stay
5/5We had a lovely holiday here, Vérane et Hervé were very helpful when we arrived and fortunately Hervé spoke very good English because my French is very poor.. The Gite is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped, it had everything we needed and if you’re looking for somewhere in this area don’t hesitate to stay here. As it was autumn we loved sitting in front of a roaring log fire in the evening after being out all day, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The surrounding area is beautiful and we spent a lot of time cycling through the stunning countryside and sightseeing. The cemetery next door is very insteresting to explore with two 1,500 year old yew trees, with shrines, and the war graves of two RAF airmen.
