In the prestigious setting of Abbaye Sainte-Marie, a Benedictine abbey founded in the 12th century, the former house of the "convers" brothers welcomes you with its vast living room and large fireplace: this is the only Holiday cottage in Normandy located in a former Abbey. The 10-person Holiday cottage is ideal for families or groups of friends. The coastline and the famous Longues-sur Sea battery are within walking distance, and Bayeux is only 6kms away. In March 2019, the Abbey has been selected to represent Normandy in the Loto du Patrimoine: you can visit the building site in the presence of the owners and discover the restoration work in progress.

Soyez les bienvenus à l'hôtellerie de l'Abbaye !
Après de nombreuses années à l'étranger en solo puis 10 ans en famille avec nos cinq enfants - Cuba et Pays Bas - nous avons fait le pari gagnant d'ouvrir ce gîte en 2012.
Il nous aide à payer les charges d'un Monument Historique célèbre en Normandie, l'Abbaye de Longues, sélectionnée par S. Bern en 2019 comme monument emblématique de la Région Normandie.
Nombreux sont nos hôtes qui reviennent, amoureux à la fois de la Normandie et du patrimoine historique, les restaurations sont mises à jour sur les réseaux sociaux "Abbaye de Longues".
Et depuis lors nous proposons une visite privée VIP à nos hôtes !

This was my second time staying at the Abbaye de Longues. It is an amazingly great location, quiet, nice, good amenities. The host and owner were both super friendly and helpful. It was incredible to see the progress in the restoration of the property. It is a great location near so many incredible things to do and see. I plan on bringing another group here in the future.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the guest house that is part of the property of this significant historical monument. The accommodations were comfortable and welcoming with an excellent kitchen that was well-stocked with cookware. We felt honored to be able to spend time enjoying this property and the surrounding area. The Abbaye was recommended to us by friends and we are pleased to recommend this place to you.

Antoine D Un gîte de charme au coeur d'une ancienne abbaye.
Gîte très bien situé à proximité des pages du débarquement et de la ville de Bayeux. Bien distribué avec une suite parentale au rez de chaussée et 5 chambres à l'étage. Confortable (3 salles de bain ou salles d'eau) et bien équipé. Calme absolu. Grand jardin clos pour les enfants. Le gîte est situé sur le site d'une abbaye récemment rénovée par le propriétaire; ne pas manquer la visite privée qu'il ne manquera pas de vous proposer. A noter aussi des concerts en saison estivale.

NikkiLusk Amazing stay at L'Hotellerie de l'Abbaye
My family and I stayed at L'Hotellerie de l'Abbaye in Longues sur Mer for a week this summer. We had the most wonderful time and did not want to leave! The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We had plenty of space for our family and our children loved playing in the garden. The location is perfect for exploring Normandy. The hosts are so kind, welcoming, and helpful. They gave us a fascinating tour of the abbey and the gardens and we learned so much from them about the history of the area. The preservation work that they have done to maintain and enhance the abbey is wonderful. We can't wait to go back and we would highly recommend L'Hotellerie de l'Abbaye to anyone.
