Soyez les bienvenus au gîte Le Verger, nous sommes nés en Normandie plus précisément à Bazenville et Le Tronquay et serons ravis de vous conseiller. Cette belle région nous offre des paysages variés avec la mer, la campagne, les forêts…Nous aimons beaucoup les jardins de Normandie, la ville de Bayeux et autres châteaux magnifiques. fully1961 Perfect rural tranquility!
The highlight of this property for us was its sheer peace and tranquility. We were greeted warmly by Madame Madelaine (if you speak NO French at all you may struggle as Monsieur Michel and Madame Madelaine speak next to no English. I surprised myself with how much I remember from my school days 50 years ago!). The gites possessed everything we required for our week stay, to be honest we were out most of the day every day so our requirements were few, other than a comfy bed (tick), kitchen essentials (tick) and a restful place to spend an evening (tick, either the conservatory terrace area off the main bedroom, which we enjoyed every evening, or if nice outside there is a patio area with loungers, table and chairs).
If TV entertainment is essential to you, French channels only. Was actually nice to kick the TV into touch for a week, there is WiFi so you can link up mobile devices.
The cider, apple juice and calvados produced at this property are lovely, and we were kindly gifted a bottle of cider in the fridge on arrival and a further bottle during the week, plus a tasting session of various produce!
If rural tranquility is your aim, this place has it. Many thanks to Madame and Monsieur for our lovely stay.
Location-wise it's less than 10km into Bayeux, an hour and a half from Mont St Michel, and well-placed to get to the D-Day beaches in no more than an hour or so to the furthest from Le Tronquay (Utah).- Cleanliness

Pascal Un gîte agréable dans un cadre rural
Le gîte est bien situé dans un cadre rural et à proximité de Bayeux. Nous avons passé un séjour agréable au calme. Le logement est très propre et confortable. De plus, nous avons été bien accueillis par les propriétaires. Une bonne adresse pour découvrir la région.
