Discover the exceptional comfort and charm of the Gîte de Camilly, an old stone barn perfectly renovated to combine authenticity and contemporary decor. The vast 70m² living room with its cathedral roof is a very pleasant place to live, with a comfortable sitting area by the fire. The wooden terrace offers an unobstructed view over the grassy fields, an ideal place for relaxing with the family. The location of the gîte is very attractive: you'll be 10 minutes from the sandy beaches of Courseulles or Graye sur mer, and 20 minutes from Arromanches, Caen and Bayeux. The village of Creully and its remarkable château are just 5 minutes away. And for cyclists, you can reach the vélomaritime via small country roads.
The Holiday cottage adjoins a year-round home, and is located on a large farmhouse (home of the owners who run a Turf Farm). The first floor comprises a living room with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with sofa, armchairs and wood-burning stove, 1 double bedroom (1 x 160cm bed), 1 twin bedroom (1 x 160cm bed), 1 shower room with walk-in shower and 2 basins, separate WC. The attic floor includes a small landing with office space and 1 closed bedroom for 2 people (2 beds 90cm, possibility of 1 additional single bed). The Holiday cottage opens onto a wooden terrace and a lawn area not overlooked. Raclette machine. Senséo coffee maker.

Christmas in Caen Super Gite
Lovely warm gite in gorgeous rural French village.
Owners had put up a lovely decorated Christmas tree.
The log burner was a godsend as the weather was very chilly. Lots to do in the area, lovely restaurants in nearby villages, Bayeux tapestry, Caen cathedral, fab seafood and cheese markets and of course the Normandy beaches. Accommodation very comfortable, well equipped kitchen. The only minor issue is the stairs to 3rd bedroom are a bit tricky and not suitable for either very young children or elders. Thank you Miranda for your positive feedback, we are delighted that you spent a beautiful Christmas with your family in our cottage and that you were able to enjoy our beautiful Normandy region. Indeed the temporary staircase is a little rough to go up to the upstairs bedroom but soon, our craftsman will install our new and beautiful staircase for everyone's comfort.
