Stay just outside Caen in a peaceful village close to all the shops. "Le Contemporain" is a pleasant, comfortable Holiday cottage with a tasteful decor. The location is ideal for visiting the Calvados region, with Cabourg beach 20 minutes away, Deauville 30 minutes, Honfleur 40 minutes or the D-Day landing beaches 40 minutes away. Little extras: sweet treats waiting for you on arrival, barbecue and close proximity to Caen city center for a nice little eatery.
Duplex apartment on the upper floor of a house that includes two other holiday cottages (2301 and 2299). Living room with seating area, sofa bed (sleeps 2), kitchenette, and bathroom with toilet. Upper level: 1 bedroom (1 double bed: 180 cm), living area with armchairs. Shared outdoor area with picnic table and barbecue. Breakfast available upon request. Parking to be shared among the 3 holiday cottages.

Kevin & Loraine Perfect!
We stayed for a week and used the gîte as a base for visiting the Normandy D-Day beaches and memorials. Its location was ideal for our needs, providing easy access to all the sites we wanted to explore. Although the Caen ring road could be quite busy at certain times of the day, this often led us to take quieter, less well-known routes, which resulted in some delightful and unexpected discoveries along the way.
Demouville is a very quiet and charming village that provided everything we needed during our stay. It has a bakery, a small grocery store, a couple of pubs, and a café, all of which we made good use of. We enjoyed starting our mornings with a coffee from the café, relaxing with a couple of beers in the evening, and picking up essential supplies from the local shops. The village offered a peaceful atmosphere while still providing convenient amenities close at hand.
The gîte itself offered excellent value for money and met all our expectations in terms of comfort and facilities. However, what truly made our holiday special was the exceptionally warm welcome we received from the owners, Céline and Thomas. They were incredibly friendly, thoughtful and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible.
A heartfelt thank you to both of you for your kindness and hospitality. We would not hesitate to recommend this gîte and would happily stay here again in the future.

Très bien ,L'appartement super , sauf que l'on entendait ce qui se disait chez le voisin. Mais autrement rien à redire. La propriétaire très accueillante.
