An old fisherman's house in the heart of the village

Stay in the heart of Port-en-Bessin's old port, in a traditional fisherman's cottage. La Ferme de Herils (ferme-herils) offers you the Bateau Lavoir, a cozy little gîte spread over five floors, just one block from the main street. In the morning, pick up fresh baguette and croissants. Visit the fish market and buy fish and shellfish straight from the sea. The daily ritual of the entry of the fishing fleet is a magnificent spectacle. During the day, you can take a trip to one of the region's many tourist attractions. Port-en-Bessin is right in the middle of the D-Day beaches. Port-en-Bessin was an important link between the world-famous beaches of Omaha Beach and Pointe du Hoc. There's still plenty to see to remind us of the Allied advance, including various war wrecks.
