Stay at La Tonnellerie, in the left wing of a 17th-century Norman manor house nestled in the heart of the Bessin region. You'll appreciate the large rooms of this family home, offering simple, warm comfort. The vast, peaceful garden, part of which is dedicated to you, lends itself perfectly to convivial moments around a barbecue or an open-air dinner. Just 5 minutes by car or 10 minutes by bike from the beaches of Normandy, this gîte offers the ideal setting for a vacation combining relaxation and discovery. Nearby, enjoy the port of Grandcamp-Maisy with its colorful trawlers. History buffs will appreciate the close proximity of Bayeux and its famous Tapestry (20 minutes away), as well as the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-mer (15 minutes away), which are not to be missed on your discovery of Normandy's heritage.
Semi-detached house with private terrace and garden in a farmhouse with other unoccupied buildings (except one occupied by a year-round tenant). The first floor comprises a kitchen opening onto a dining room, a living room with lounge and dining area, a large lounge with piano, pool table and sofa bed (possibility of 2 additional beds), a shower room and a separate toilet. The first floor comprises a 3-person bedroom (1 bed 160x200cm and 1 bed 90x190cm), a 2-person bedroom (2 beds 90x190cm), a 2-person bedroom (1 bed 140x200cm) with study area, a bathroom with bath and shower and a separate WC. Private grounds with terrace, chiliennes, garden furniture, barbecue and ping-pong table. Electric vehicle recharging point.

Bags Lovely period house in a very convenient location.
Veronique and family were a very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The gite is just outside Grandcamp-Maisy, a nice fishing village with plently of good restaurants. Very convenient for the Normandy beaches and D-Day museums. One note: if you like your gite to be modern, up to date, then this one might not be for you. It certainly didn't spoil our stay though.
Véronique et sa famille étaient très sympathiques, accueillants et serviables. Le gîte est juste à l'extérieur de Grandcamp-Maisy, un joli village de pêcheurs avec beaucoup de bons restaurants. Très pratique pour les plages de Normandie et les musées du Débarquement. Une remarque : si vous aimez que votre gîte soit moderne, au goût du jour, alors celui-ci n'est peut-être pas pour vous. Cela n'a certainement pas gâché notre séjour.

Nous sommes ravis que votre séjour se soit bien passé et nous vous remercions pour vos conseils sur l'environnement. Vous êtes un groupe très agréable à recevoir . Pour votre remarque, effectivement, nous sommes d'accord que la Tonnellerie (manoir du 17eme) est une maison qui n'a pas l'objectif d'être moderne et les photos de présentation du gîte en témoignent.

This is a really beautiful house (part of a larger mansion) with lots of space and a large (shared) garden. It is about a 15 minutes walk from the fishermen's port of Grandcamp-Maisy and very close to many of the World Ward II sites. We had a really comfortable and refreshing stay.

Lucy Perfect stay!
We had a wonderful time at „La Tonnellerie“.
The garden in which we spent a lot of time is beautiful & the house is very spacious. The teenagers especially enjoyed the billiard & table tennis. The younger children loved Utah the very gentle & sweet dog.
Historic sights very near & generally a great base for exploring Normandy.

Lieu idéal pour visiter de nombreux sites liés à la seconde guerre mondiale.
Pas loin du supermarché et autres commerces à Grandcamp-Maisy.

Familie de Haan Séjour formidable à La Tonnellerie
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison spacieuse. Les équipements étaient parfaits et la situation géographique, au cœur des nombreux sites liés à la Seconde Guerre mondiale, était idéale.
Il y avait plein de choses à faire pour les enfants, et le chien Utah est devenu le chouchou de notre famille.
La maison est très calme et offre beaucoup d’intimité, tout en étant proche du supermarché et de la boulangerie.
Nous la recommandons vivement à tout le monde et espérons y revenir un jour!
