Situated 10 minutes from the beach at Arromanches, this gîte is ideal for a stay with family or friends. You'll be seduced by the charm of this old barn, carefully renovated to combine authenticity and comfort. The quiet bedrooms are warm and inviting, and promise a restful night's sleep. The living space is bright and airy thanks to its south-western exposure and bay windows, and offers a beautiful view over the vast 4000m² garden and its orchard of old varieties of pear and apple trees. Binoculars are available for observing the flora and fauna, and with a little patience you'll be lucky enough to see wild rabbits, blue tits and even crested falcons. A short distance from the gîte, you'll find the "Boucle d'Aure" hiking trail, offering pleasant, relaxing scenery. The Longues sur mer battery, with its panoramic sea views, is just 5 minutes away. The "vélo maritime" is 2 km from the gîte, along a superb coastal path.
Detached single-storey Bungalow with 4000m² private, enclosed garden, located close to the owners' home. The entrance opens onto the main room, with its living room, dining room and fully-equipped kitchen (raclette, waffle maker, mixer). The first bedroom has 2 single beds (90x190 cm), the second has 1 double bed (140x190 cm), and the third has 1 double bed (160x200 cm). A shower room adjoins this bedroom, with toilet and walk-in shower. A second shower room is available with toilet and walk-in shower. Electric shutters throughout. The vast garden has an orchard with old varieties of pear and apple trees. Several vehicles can be parked in the enclosed courtyard. Terrace with garden furniture.

Bienvenue au gîte de la petite madeleine ! Benoit est maire de sa commune, passionné par la nature et les animaux. Il s'occupait dans sa vie professionnelle de protéger la faune et la flore du calvados, aujourd'hui il souhaite continuer dans cette démarche et préserver l'environnement. Quant à moi je suis passionnée par l'Histoire avec un grand H, je suis guide bénévole à la cathédrale de Bayeux et c'est avec plaisir que je vous proposerai une visite guidée. leanda a beautiful house and very hospitable providers
We stayed with 2 couples in the property and owners were great. Before arrival I already had app contact with the owner and she responded very quickly in good English.
The owner was already waiting in the sun upon our arrival and we were delighted with local products: cider, jam, cookies and flowers. During our stay they brought pears from the field and a homemade kind of apple sauce.
They were also very helpful when we unexpectedly had to go to a doctor.She gave us a tour of the Bayeux Cathedral and a lot of information about the area.
The property is located in a very quiet area a little further from the village (car is recommended) and has recently been completely renovated, i.e. completely newly built. The garden with fruit trees is very large.
The kitchen is well equipped and there is a lot of daylight in the kitchen/living room. The 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are very nice and spacious.
A double bedroom has an adjacent bathroom. The other bathroom is opposite the double room and past the twin bedroom.
We would like to thank the owners again for allowing us to stay in their beautiful building and for all the good care- Cleanliness

Les dunkerquois Très beau gite
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Vaux sur Aure. Le gite est tout neuf, spacieux, lumineux et décoré avec beaucoup de goùt. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et réactifs. L'endroit est calme et reposant. Merci pour les petits cadeaux d'accueil.

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux dans ce gîte ! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par la propriétaire avec quelques douceurs de bienvenue. Le gîte est tres confortable, parfaitement équipé et au calme. Il est également bien situé pour explorer la ville et ses environs (voiture recommandée).
