Enchanet, Lastioulles and Bort-les-Orgues lakes

In the Châtaigneraie, there are many lakes where we can swim and fish. In Puycapel, in the south of department there is a swimming pool in the lake, it is open in July and Ausgut.

Close to Arnac, the lake of Enchanet is 17km long and is feeded with mountains water. Around the lake, Longayroux and Gineste beaches welcome swimmers for freshness, relaxation and great moments in family or friends.

In the north of department, near Champs-sur-Tarentaine, Lastioulles lake is between Sancy and Cantal mountains. It welcomes swimmers and fishers. In this artificial lake, pike, pike perch and black bass fishing is a pleasure for fishers. On the side, Crégut lake is a natural lake lovec by fishers and walkers.

At the foot of Val castle, a beach on Bort-les-Orgues lake offers a great place to swim and it is watched during summer. A playground for 3 and 5 years old children is on beach.

Cézallier lakes and Garabit-Grandval lake

In the heart of Cantal, between Allanche and Murat, we recommend a detour to Sauvages and Pêcher lakes. The first one is private and nice for trout fishing, open in summer. The second one is a lovely place where you can have a walk on a thematic path. These high lakes are on the Cézallier plateau, appreciated by nature lovers.

Around Saint-Flour, near Garabit bridge, is Gaabit-Grandval lake. Some nautical bases offer many activities as canoe-kayak, sailing dinghy, windsurfing,… Boat trips go around Truyere gorges and sail towards Alleuze Castle and Garabit bridge. For a rest and sunbathing, there are swimming areas monitored. Garabit-Grandval lake is a paradise for fishers who win pikes, pike-perches and perches in a natural and preserved area. Fish activities are proposed every summer for families.
