La Maison du Peintre

Charming, family-run artist's home nestled halfway up the hillside with spectacular views of the Seine and limestone pinnacles in Impressionist country.

Renovated in 2020, our house has been in the family since 1925. Originally a painter's studio, it has been home to generations who have enjoyed its charm and views, and left their mark on its decoration.
La Roche Guyon, one of the "most beautiful villages in France", impresses with its château overlooking the village, built in a meander of the Seine on the border with Normandy, and its 3-hectare kitchen garden.
To the west of the Parc du Vexin Français, there are numerous hiking trails (GR2), with breathtaking views over the Seine (sentier du patrimoine, route des crêtes...).
The heart of the village (within walking distance of the Holiday cottage): restaurants, Pharmacy, mini-market.

9km from Giverny and the Claude Monet Foundation, 75km from Paris and 75km from Beauvais-Tillé airport.
For water sports enthusiasts, the Ile de Loisirs des Boucles de Seine base.
On the "Paris-London" greenway. Mantes-la-Jolies train station 20km away, Paris accessible in 37 minutes.

Holiday cottage nestled in the heart of a breathtaking landscape! Situated on a steep street, backing onto the cliff, the unpretentious facade of the Holiday cottage doesn't reveal the magnificent view behind.

On the first floor, you enter into a kitchen equipped with fridge-freezer, 3-burner ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, capsule coffee machine, kettle, toaster, etc. Then down a few steps into the dining room and lounge area, where the charm of old materials adds a warm atmosphere. WIFI (fiber). Shower room with shower cubicle, washbasin, heated towel rail and WC. Downstairs: bedroom with double bed (160x200cm) and direct access to the terrace. Upstairs: bedroom with double bed (160x200cm) and access to the shower room. Baby bed available. One bedroom with two single beds 90x200cm, convertible into a double bed 180x200cm. Bathroom with large shower, washbasin, towel dryer and separate WC. Wooden terrace with garden furniture, parasol and deckchairs. Small sunken garden. Two private parking spaces and secure shelter for bikes and motorcycles opposite the accommodation. Electric vehicle charging station in the garage (conditions to be arranged with the owner).
