Hossegor is also the capital of Landais elegance, symbolised by its Sporting Casino, Jai Alai, golf course and hundreds of Basco-Landais style villas. The lake which opens onto the sea is lined with oyster-farm shacks, a lovely place for an evening stroll.
Neighbouring Capbreton is different from the other seaside resorts as it is also a fishing port where a fish auction is held every morning.
Numerous beaches (Notre Dame, Santocha and Savane…) extend each side of the ‘estacade’, a wooden pier which juts out into the ocean.
