Le Cachalou has everything to seduce you with a neat interior layout. Yet its main asset lies in its location 100m from the departure of the little train from the Bay of Somme, ideal for getting there on foot. While strolling in Saint Valéry you will not fail to discover a rich heritage: the salt warehouse built in 1736 which has become the tourist office very close to the gîte, the Saint Pierre chapel erected in 1723, the commercial court now a place for concerts and café terrace in summer, the quays bordered by 19th century residences. In the medieval city: a medieval-looking city with its ramparts, its towers (Guillaume), its gates, its church (Saint Martin), the herbarium: former garden of the nuns of the hospital.

In the Baie de Somme, tastefully decorated gîte (45 sq.m.) in quiet street, 100m from marina, 5 min. walk from centre of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. Little courtyard (10 sq.m.). Living room with fitted kitchen area (fridge-freezer, electric coffee maker, Senseo coffee pod machine). 1st floor: bedroom (queen-size bed), shower room, separate WC. 2nd floor: attic bedroom (2 single beds) with shower & washbasin. Child safety gate on request. Electric heating (extra charge). Pay & display parking on street (weekly parking permit possible: 40€). In summer free shuttle service, La Sauterelle, serves 7 stops in the village. Electric BBQ. NO pets. Worth a visit nearby: Le Crotoy, harbour at Le Hourdel, Mers-les-Bains, Le Tréport.
