Buses are available to take you to activities on the outskirts of town. In terms of activities, there's something for everyone: visit the marshes (listed by Unesco for their biodiversity) in a Bacôve, a traditional boat; the World War II museum; the Coupole, with its planetarium; for cycling and hiking enthusiasts, numerous routes and paths in the surrounding area and, for the younger ones, Dennlys Parc and its attractions....
Discover local produce by visiting the market every Saturday morning or tasting the region's specialities in the many restaurants.
By train, you can reach Lille in less than 1 hour and Paris in 2 hours.

LizS Great house in the old town
We had a wonderful time in this lovely house. After a warm welcome from Marie we were very comfortable here, plenty of room for the 6 of us, very well equipped and in a lovely position to explore Saint-Omer and environs. Our 4 nights flew by, we had a day exploring Saint-Omer (Saturday market, public gardens and the Cathedral), a day at the beach and a day at Dennlys Parc. We hope to come back again.

Jeunevielle Super logement
Avons passé une agréable semaine ensoleillée dans cette maison bien située à proximité des commerces et point de départ pour visiter cette ville, riche en monuments, demeures bourgeoises et hôtels particuliers. Partir à la découverte du marais de St OMER et très beau jardin public propice à la détente.
Avons été sensibles à la décoration de ce logement alliant l'ancien au moderne.
Avons également apprécié la petite cour intérieure pour nos repas.

Saab Magnifique gîte
Un grand merci pour votre accueil, votre gîte est un véritable havre de paix et il est idéalement situé. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis dans une atmosphère chaleureuse et raffinée. Nous avons passé un séjour des plus agréables où le confort et l'esthétique se sont harmonieusement mêlés. Chaque détail, de la décoration soignée aux équipements, a été pensé avec soin.

sheils Wonderful stay in St Omer
What a wonderful house. Marie and her daughter showed us how everything worked, and there was a great deal of information about St Omer and the surrounding area. The house has everything you need if you wish to cook for yourself, but why would you? The situation just off the square means everything is in walking distance, and yet the street is very quiet.

Matthieu Semaine de découverte en avril
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine à la découverte de Saint-Omer et de toute la région. Le gite est fonctionnel, bien équipé et très bien décoré avec un mélange de moderne et d'ancien dans cette maison qui date du 18ème siècle. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié son emplacement, au calme et à proximité immédiate du centre-ville et des commerces. Un parking gratuit se situe à quelques dizaines de mètres et nous y avons toujours trouvé de la place. C'était un point de départ idéal et central pour découvrir la région de la côte (Pointe de Gris-Nez, Calais, Dunkerque), à Lille en passant par la Belgique et Bruges. Nous y reviendrons certainement !

Angela Sutherland A Lovely Appartment
I was met by the host at the agreed time. She came back immediately, without complaint, when I couldn't get the front door to open. The key was a little stiff.
The bedrooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable. It was so nice to have a bathroom each.
The kitchen and living room are small but we didn't cook or stay in much as there were so many great places to eat and to visit, on our doorstep. On Saturday there is a market which we bought paella (and some fresh vegetables to take home).
We loved our stay and the host is very kind.
