Set in the magnificent private park of the 18th-19th century Château de Rethondes, in the heart of two state forests, Compiègne and Laigue, the Gîte de l'Armistice is an ideal place for nature lovers and for listening to the bellowing of the stag. The gîte is located next to the village mini-market and a Michelin-starred restaurant.
It's an excellent starting point for numerous nature walks and visits to local tourist attractions: Clairière de l'Armistice and its Wagon 2.7 km, Medieval Castle, Pierrefonds 7 km, Imperial Palace, Compiègne 8 km, Village of Saint-Jean-aux Bois 8 km, Cité des bateliers, Longueuil-Annel 8 km, Cistercian Abbey of Chiry-Ourscamp 18 km, Cité internationale de la langue Française, Château de Villers-Cotterêts 20 km, Noyon Cathedral 20 km, Parc Astérix 53 km, Paris (Olympic Games - Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Louvre Museum) 99 km, accessible from Compiègne train station 8 km, Charles de Gaulle airport 72 km.
Detached two-storey house (65m²) not overlooked, set in the château's 5-hectare fully enclosed grounds. It has a magnificent view of the château and its chapel.
First floor: living room with wood-burning stove (wood supplied), TV (82 cm), fitted kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, capsule and filter coffee maker, washing machine) opening onto terrace, separate WC.
First floor: One bedroom with 1 x 160 x 200 cm bed + one bedroom with 2 x 90x190 beds.
Bathroom (bath) and WC.
Office space for telecommuting.
Private terrace with garden furniture, barbecue, sunbathing area and access to enclosed park.
Outdoor parking on church square, entrance to gîte via gate.
Beds made on arrival, linen and towels, electricity, heating, wood included.
Wifi internet access.

It's a new house and very comfortable. Everything is clean, it's in the middle of the village and very close to a small grocery store. The house is set in a huge garden which belongs to a manor. So if the weather is nice you can sit outside and enjoy the sight of the house and the greens surrounding it. Lovely!

Votre message nous fait vraiment chaud au coeur. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié le gîte, son confort, sa propreté et ses équipements. Nous avons effectivement souhaité créer un lieu agréable et pratique pour les familles, alors savoir que petits et grands s'y sentent bien est la plus belle récompense !
La proximité immédiate de la forêt et de la rivière permet de profiter pleinement de la nature, pour de jolies balades ou des moments de détente.

Serge Très bon séjour
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, le gite est très agréable et très bien équipé. Nous avons pu profiter d'une petite flambée dans le poêle au retour des visites. Situation idéale pour découvrir les châteaux de Compiègne et Pierrefonds ainsi que de magnifiques villages anciens aux alentours. Les domaines forestiers à proximité offrent de nombreuses possibilités de randonnées pédestres ou à vélo. Nous ne connaissions pas l'Oise, nous sommes tombés sous le charme. Nous reviendrons.

Located on big enclosed terrain, huge garden, very quiet.
Great kitchen with all Miele appliances, top quality and easy to use.
Beds are very comfortable.
Nice owners.
