Welcome to the land of the fagne, in a farmhouse restored in the tradition, with the use of blue stone, "paving" in baked clay (commonly called tommette) and black oak wood from the fagne! These 2 adjoining cottages bring together up to 12 friends, relatives, colleagues... Wallers en Fagne, a small village in the Avesnois that you will regret not having discovered before: there is something for everyone! For children, games on site will allow them to let off steam in the large adjoining enclosed meadow! Other activities can be discovered at the tourist resort of Val Joly. So only 10 minutes from the cottage: yours (theirs!) swimming and tree climbing, horse riding or sailing lessons, for active holidays in Avesnois! Parents, you are not left out: between the various hiking trails (stone circuit...), marked out by 17 markers encouraging you to read the landscape and the architecture; between a visit to the stonemasons (Wallers en Fagne) and a visit to the town of Chimay (Belgium), not only famous for Chimay beer, cheese and ham and the castle..., between the Ecomuseum of Fourmies and the glass museum workshop of Trélon, between trout fishing (first category river with 7 km of course) and observation of the 60 species of birds listed on the ornithological reserve of the Monts de Baives...(zone special protection for birds or ZPS, where you can even see the black stork!), the program turns out to be very busy and the days very short! You don't have time to make your homemade jams and other fruity sweets? Never mind ! The orchard has been repopulated with fruit species from the Avesnois, yielding all year round: apples for your compotes and pies, cherries for your clafoutis...
