Lively City center with its many stores and remarkable monuments such as the Town Hall, the Belfry and the hundred-year-old pine tree native to New Zealand. Nearby leisure center with pedal boats, playground, educational farm open from April to September.
Mormal Forest and Golf course 10km away. Valenciennes 20km, Toyota Onnaing 16km, Le Cateau-Cambrésis and Matisse Museum 20km, Maubeuge Zoo 29km, Saint-Amand-les-Eaux spa with Chaine Thermale du Soleil 30km, Cambrai 33km and Val Joly tourist resort 51km. Lille 70km away.

Das liebevoll renovierte Haus von Hervé hat uns gut gefallen. Die Ausstattung ist modern und komfortabel. Im Umkreis von 20 km gibt es viele Rundwanderwege. Besonders der Foret de Mormal ist ein Besuch wert. Aber du kannst auch das Auto stehen lassen und die direkte Umgebung erkunden. Durch die Festungsmauern und die Grünflächen entsteht eine Insel die an das Dorf von Asterix erinnert. Hier kann man alles für den täglichen Bedarf erhalten. Die Melodien des Carillon haben uns sehr entzückt. Wir kommen wieder.

très bon accueil. gite bien situé. très bonne disponibilité du propriétaire. cependant ce gîte n'est pas recommandé aux personnes à mobilité réduite.

Michael M Perfect place in Le Quesnoy
Charming well equipped and quiet terraced house superbly located in the heart of Le Quesnoy with easy access to the village centre, shops and restaurants as well as the excellent walks around the remparts and walls of the village.
Do visit Te Arawhata, the brilliant New Zealand Liberation museum with its stunning immersive history of the liberation of Le Quesnoy during WW1.

Sebsch74 Erholsamer Kurzurlaub in einem tollen Ferienhaus
Wir hatten einen erholsamen Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Ferienhaus. Angefangen von der sehr freundlichen Begrüßung durch unseren Gastgeber Hervé bis hin zur herzlichen Verabschiedung waren es wunderbare Tage in ruhiger Umgebung.
Das Ferienhaus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr gepflegt und war bei unserer Ankunft makellos sauber. Es hat an nichts gefehlt.
Die Lage ist ideal, da ruhig und doch zentral. Zum Marktplatz von Le Quesnoy sind es nur wenige Schritte. Eine gute Bäckerei und weitere Geschäfte sind ebenfalls dort zu finden. Gleich daran anschließend kann man durch die alten Befestigungsanlagen des Ortes spazieren. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch das kleine, aber feine "Musée néo-zélandais de la Libération".
Auch in der Umgebung gibt es viel zu entdecken: Valenciennes ist einen Besuch wert, genauso wie Maroilles und der Mormal-Wald.
Wit empfehlen das Ferienhaus auf jeden Fall weiter.
Vielen Dank an Hervé und seine Frau (auch für die Geduld bei der Schlüsselsuche kurz vor unserer Abreise ).

Séjour détente dans une superbe maison de vacances
Nous avons passé un séjour reposant dans cette belle maison de vacances. De l'accueil très sympathique de notre hôte Hervé jusqu'aux adieux chaleureux, ce furent de merveilleuses journées dans un cadre paisible.
La maison de vacances est meublée avec beaucoup de goût, très bien entretenue et était impeccablement propre à notre arrivée. Rien ne manquait.
L'emplacement est idéal, car il est calme mais central. La place du marché du Quesnoy est à quelques pas. On y trouve également une bonne boulangerie et d'autres commerces. Immédiatement après, vous pourrez vous promener dans les anciennes fortifications de la ville. Le petit mais beau "Musée néo-zélandais de la Libération" est également fortement recommandé.
Il y a aussi beaucoup à découvrir dans les environs : Valenciennes vaut le détour, tout comme Maroilles et la forêt de Mormal.
Nous recommandons vivement la maison de vacances.
Un grand merci à Hervé et sa femme (également pour leur patience à chercher la clé peu avant notre départ). -
JMJO Séjour dans la citadelle
Nous avons passé un super séjour de nouvel an. Notre hôte nous a très bien accueilli et conseillé. Le gîte est confortable et calme, a proximité de tous les commerces. Très belle découverte du site historique de la citadelle et des environs.
