The Avesnois is renowned for its lush green meadows, hedged farmland and rolling hills in the south-eastern part of the region, commonly known as the "Little Switzerland of the North", which brands the foothills of the Ardennes, offering a picturesque and varied landscape.

Hiking and biking trails are available via the "point nœuds" network.
The Val Joly tourist resort is just a 20-minute drive away, with its 180-hectare Lake, the largest body of water north of Paris, offering a multitude of sporting and water-based leisure activities.
