Welcome to the southern Avesnois, land of bocage and blue stone, on the edge of Belgium, part of the regional nature park.

Nature and culture harmonize to satisfy everyone's tastes: the Fourmies ecomuseum retraces the industrial past of the Avesnois, while the Parc départemental de l'Abbaye de Liessies is a 44-hectare theater of greenery (orchards, meadows, woods...).

For the more sporty, there are hiking trails for pedestrians, cyclists (Voie Verte de l'Avesnois, réseau points noeuds, La Scandibérique) and horse riders. Vary the pleasures by visiting the Val Joly tourist resort for a sailing, paddle or canoeing course... and much more!
